What Are Fossil Fuels?

Fossil fuels:

Most of our common fuels are fossil fuels.

Coal, crude oil (which gives us petrol), and

natural gas are all fossil fuels.

Coal, crude oil, and natural gas are all considered fossil fuels because they were formed from the fossilized, buried remains of plants and animals that lived millions of years ago.

A fossil fuel is a fuel formed by natural processes.

Fossil fuels are called non-renewable fuels.
