Anxiety:
Anxiety as a feeling of fear or tenseness.
Feelings that are directly linked with anxiety.
a. Worried
b. Unable to sleep
c. Easily irritated
d. Concentration becomes difficult
e. Feeling detached from the environment
Physical symptoms:
a. Headaches
b. Chest pains
c. Fast heart beats
d. Dry mouth
e. Fast breathing
When do you face anxiety the most?
Answer:
During the period of exams. This is called a performance or test anxiety.
What might lead a student to have such a feeling?
Answer:
a. Worried of the effects
b. Worried that your test wouldn’t be perfect
c. Knowing that you didn’t prepare enough
d. Worried of your parents’ reactions in case you flunk
e. The anticipation of stress causes the body to release adrenaline which leads to an anxiety attack
How can we manage anxiety?
Answer:
a. Organize our study habits to feel comfortable
b. Keep a good image about ourselves
c. Ask for support
d. Take a bath
e. Watch T.V. to distract your stress
f. Deep breathing several times will help
g. Rest quietly in a dim room
