What is Fertilization? Define External and Internal fertilization.

Fertilization:

A sperm cell from a male and an egg cell from a female join into a single unit in a process called fertilization.

External fertilization:

Joining of egg and sperm outside the female's body is called external fertilization.

Internal fertilization:

Joining of sperm and egg cells inside a female's body.
